Mission Statement

The Sterling Police Department, in partnership with our community, provides impartial, ethical, and professional law enforcement services to reduce crime, fear of crime and social disorder, thereby improving the quality of life for our citizens.  

Responsibilities

The Sterling Police Department serves the community by protecting citizens and property, preventing crime, enforcing laws, and maintaining order. Our Department’s main goal is to contribute to the quality of life in Sterling.

The Sterling Police Department is comprised of 5 sworn full-time police officers that cover the residential and commercial areas around our City.

Goals

The main goal of the Sterling Police Department is to create and maintain a safe, secure environment for all Sterling citizens. We strive to accomplish this goal through proactive community programs designed to prevent crime as well as efficient, thorough investigations of crimes committed.
